OGC CHARTERS

I was lucky enough to spend the day on Sunday with our living Legend Brian of OGC Charters. Brian and Julie have built up an outstanding reputation for the awesome dive trips that they offer, taking you to remote locations in the outer Gulf. This was to be a great day leaving the bad weather on the coast as we gathered scallops off Little Barrier before heading further afield for a cray dive. The Charter vessel Apollo has had a lot of work done on her offering faster smoother trips to offshore destinations as well as some really unique changes that include Scotty. Scotty is a lift system so you no longer need to clamber aboard with all your gear. Simply stand on the platform and be hoisted to deck level. "Well Done Brian" this is a real advantage for older farts like myself that are getting weak in the knees.

DEER HUNTING NZ

We also offer Deer Hunting trips Northwest of Auckland and only a 45 minute to an hours drive from the North Shore. In fact Saturday just gone I was out there with Shane Cameron and the lads look for some deer. This was a great day nailing one Fallow deer and watching how Shane breaks down the beast effortlessly. Well not quite but he showed us all some skills that will be valuable for all that were on the hunting tour. Here at Dive Planet, Dive And Fish we are about to launch our own magazine covering these key areas of diving, fishing in New Zealand. Submit your photos and stories to DFNZ simply email info@diveplanet.co.nz Our first magazine will be having a gear section, fishing section, diving section,as well as Kiwi Spearos NZ named after a sub section from our old website. We will be giving businesses in NZ a FREE listing with an article that they provide so get cracking as we need your content by the first week of October 2011.
